Joo Chiat Road is an arterial road and a residential conservation area in the eastern part of Singapore, and is located between Geylang Serai and Marine Parade Road. Designated as Singapore’s first “heritage town” in 2011, this East Coast enclave is a mix of gorgeous Peranakan shophouses (no buildings in the area can be taller than five storeys high), local eateries and bakeries.
