Robert Adams, was born January 21, 1928,. At age 18 in the fall of 1946, Robert arrived by train to the town of Tiruvannamalai, a few miles from Arunachala Mountain, to meet his future teacher, Ramana Maharshi. He took a bullock cart to the Ashram, and was at the Ramana ashram some three years until the death of or close to the death of the Maharshi in 1950.
