The Yu Huang Gong is a Chinese temple devoted to the famous Chinese spiritualist, Lao Tzu.

It was established by the Hokkiien community of Singapore.A clan of Hokkien Peranakan merchants, who called themselves the Keng Teck Whay association, occupied this temple for 170 years and kept it private.

Recently a team of craftsmen, including sculptors from Quanzhou, in the southern Fujian province of China, were brought in to work on the interiors.
It is now open to the public. It is located very close to the famous Thian Hock Keng Temple in Telok Ayer Street.
