Taiping is a town in northwest Malaysia. It's known for its well-preserved colonial architecture. Taiping Lake Gardens, a public park with angsana trees and a lotus pond, was established in 1880 on the site of an old tin mine.
We paid a flash visit to this lovely little town in June 2019 lasting two hours during most of which it rained heavily. Nevertheless we got the opportunity to have dosay and Madras coffee in a south Indian restaurant with our driver Joe and also took some pictures before returning back to Ipoh.
